What we welcome

Pitch original explainers, comparisons, histories, myth checks or occasion-focused pieces grounded in kitchen life. A strong contribution has a specific reader question, a clear point of view and a subject that can be handled accurately without turning into professional advice.

What to include

Tell us the working title, the central idea, why it suits Open Kitchen Journal and what makes your approach distinct. Mention relevant experience or sources that could inform the piece, but do not send confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted.
